‘Tiger King’ Star Carole Baskin Tricked Into Fake Interview

A pair of pranksters from the UK tricked Tiger King’s Carole Baskin into giving her first interview since the docu-series aired by pretending to be talk show host Jimmy Fallon.

Footage released by YouTubers Josh Pieters and Archie Manners on May 3 documents how they set up the fake Zoom interview.

Baskin has been reluctant to do interviews following the release of Tiger King, as she was unhappy with how she was portrayed in the series, but Pieters and Manners got her on board by promising that “Fallon” would only ask her questions about cats.

The pair then pulled clips of Fallon asking various questions in previous interviews on The Tonight Show, which they played for Baskin over a Zoom call.

Baskin has since said that she was not upset by the prank.

“I was suspicious as we were doing it because the questions appeared taped. But had no idea it would turn out to be such a fun prank,” she told Us Weekly.

“It gave us a very welcome good laugh. I appreciate their cleverness and that they created their video in a way that I don’t feel was in any way mean-spirited.”
