Michael Gove insisted the government’s ‘tough but fair’ new tier system was necessary to prevent another England lockdown before the rollout of Covid vaccines. ‘It’s really important we don’t lose that discipline we have now,’ the Cabinet Office minister said. Gove also told Sky News that customers would not need to be vaccinated against Covid-19 to go to pubs, restaurants, theatres or sports events
