Efforts to preserve endangered wildlife in Tibet’s Serling Tso Nature Reserve in western China are starting to bear fruit, thanks to the dedication of so-called wildlife guardians. This group of wildlife rangers are tasked with ensuring that birds have adequate food on the reserve, tracking the movement of Tibetan antelope herds, as well as educating local residents on wildlife conservation. Since introducing conservation measures, the reserve says it has seen growth in the population of key species.
