The three white men charged with murder in the death of Ahmaud Arbery, a Black man who was killed while out jogging in Georgia, pleaded not guilty on Friday.

The fatal shooting of Ahmaud Arbery in Georgia stoked a national uproar over race relations. No arrests were made for two months until video of the shooting surfaced.

On February 23, 2020, Ahmaud Marquez Arbery, an unarmed 25-year-old African-American man, was fatally shot after being pursued and confronted by Travis McMichael and his father Gregory McMichael, who were armed and driving a pickup truck.

The shooting happened on a neighborhood street in Satilla Shores, a community near Brunswick in Glynn County, Georgia, USA and was recorded on video by a neighbor of the McMichaels, who was following Arbery in another vehicle.
