Three crew members have been killed when a Lockheed C-130 Hercules air tanker crashed while fighting a fire near Cooma in southern NSW.
New South Wales Premier Gladys Berejiklian confirmed the crash and expressed her condolences to the families of the dead crew.
The C-130 was chartered by the NSW Rural Fire Service from aerial firefighting company, Coulson Aviation.
Rural Fire Service commissioner Shane Fitzsimmons says all three occupants on the plane were American residents.
