Three people, including the driver, have been pronounced dead at the scene of a train derailment in Stonehaven, Aberdeenshire, British Transport Police have said.
A further six people have been taken to hospital after the 6.38am Aberdeen to Glasgow Queen Street ScotRail service crashed on Wednesday morning amid heavy rain and flooding.
The train conductor was among dead, according to the RMT union.
