Thousands protest Benjamin Netanyahu ahead of Israel general election

Global News published this video item, entitled “Thousands protest Benjamin Netanyahu ahead of Israel general election” – below is their description.

Thousands of Israelis flooded the streets of Jerusalem on Saturday to voice frustration with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ahead of next Tuesday’s general election.

Demonstrations against the Israeli prime minister have continued for months amid demands for Netanyahu to resign over his indictment on charges of bribery, fraud and breach of trust.

The upcoming elections, which will be the fourth in less than two years, are widely seen as a referendum on Netanyahu.

Polls show Netanyahu’s right-wing Likud party are in the lead and projected to take around 30 seats in the 120-member Knesset, Israel’s parliament.
