Thousands of Israelis marched back to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s official residence on Tuesday after protesting outside the Knesset, the country’s parliament.
The march through the streets of Jerusalem was the latest of several mass demonstrations in recent weeks as public discontentment with the prime minister has bubbled over.
Netanyahu has come under growing criticism for holding office while on trial for corruption, and mismanaging the country’s deepening economic crisis.
In the past week, thousands of Israelis have participated in some of the largest demonstrations against the long-time prime minister in nearly a decade.
Protests outside Netanyahu’s residence have become a weekly occurrence.
Netanyahu is on trial for a series of cases in which he allegedly received lavish gifts from billionaire friends and traded regulatory favours with media moguls for more favourable coverage of himself and his family.
The prime minister has denied any wrongdoing and has refused to step down.
