Al Jazeera English published this video item, entitled “Thousands flee to Bamiyan as Taliban surges in Afghanistan” – below is their description.

The United Nations says thousands of internally displaced Afghans are arriving in Bamiyan following intense fighting in surrounding provinces.

They are among about 300,000 people displaced across Afghanistan since May. The UN Humanitarian Coordinator fears if there is no ceasefire, things could get much worse.

Al Jazeera’s James Bays reports from Bamiyan province where he met some of those who have been forced to flee their homes because of recent fighting.
