ABC News (Australia) published this video item, entitled “Thousands flee after officials warn of a possible second eruption of DRC volcano | The World” – below is their description.
A million people have been evacuated to safety as a volcano threatens to erupt – again – in the Democratic Republic of Congo. 31 people were killed on Saturday evening when Mount Nyiragongo, one of the world’s most active volcanoes, sent a wall of lava downhill towards the city of Goma. Officials are warning a second volcanic eruption could happen any time. Science journalist, Dr Robin George Andrews says it is a highly volatile situation, which makes it so “unnerving”.
