The Queen joins in first ever video call to mark carers week

After 65 years on the throne, you would have thought the Queen would have seen and done it all.

But Her Majesty has broken new ground by taking part in a video call with four carers from the Carers Trust.

The monarch chatted with the volunteers and the trust’s chief executive Gareth Howells on June 4 from Windsor Castle.

In a video released on the monarchy’s Twitter account (which can be seen below), the Queen could be heard saying: “Interesting listening to all your tales and stories. I’m very impressed by what you have achieved already. I’m very glad to have been able to join you today.”
