The opposition activists detained in DRC

Political activists in the Democratic Republic of Congo are pushing for elections to be held in November, as scheduled, but the government says it’s unable to organise the poll in time.

Opponents believe President Joseph Kabila is trying to hold on to power, and many activists and opposition figures have been detained in the past two years.

Al Jazeera’s Malcolm Webb reports from Kinshasa.
