The largest residential Christmas lights display in the UK brings festive cheer in Cumbria

Sky News published this video item, entitled “The largest residential Christmas lights display in the UK brings festive cheer in Cumbria” – below is their description.

A house in Cumbria has been lit up with what’s believed to be the largest number of Christmas lights on a residential property in the UK.

Jeremy and Mandy Voakes’ home in Cark is so bright, it’s been used as a navigation aid by the RAF.

It takes weeks to put up the 150,000 lights, a small fortune to provide the 16,000 watts needed to power them and until Easter to pack the lights away, according to the couple behind the charity display which raises money for the NSPCC.
