Thailand’s resort island of Phuket is expected to reopen on July 1, 2021. Under the plan, vaccinated tourists from low-risk countries will be allowed to enter the island without undergoing a 14-day quarantine. Ahead of that date, the Thai government aims to achieve a 70 per cent local vaccination rate before welcoming back visitors to Phuket.
