South China Morning Post published this video item, entitled “Thai protesters back on the streets to mark Siamese Revolution that ended absolute monarchy” – below is their description.
Hundreds of protesters returned to the streets of the Thai capital Bangkok on June 24, 2021, calling for Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha to step down. The rally was organised to commemorate the 89th anniversary of the Siamese Revolution, which ended absolute monarchy in Thailand. Bangkok was rocked by anti-government protests in 2020, but later lost steam following the coronavirus outbreak in the country and a police crackdown on demonstrators.
