The Thai navy warship HTMS Sukhothai carrying 106 sailors sank in the Gulf of Thailand on December 18, 2022. Strong winds carried seawater onto the warship, knocking out the electrical system, according to a Royal Thai Navy official. As of the morning of December 19, 75 sailors had been rescued while 31 were still missing.
