ABC News (Australia) published this video item, entitled “Thai court rules PM Prayuth Chan-ocha hasn’t overstayed limit | The World” – below is their description.
A Thai court has decided Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha can stay in his role, ruling his term began in 2017 with the country’s new constitution.
Mr Prayuth had come to power in 2014 in a military coup, and opposition politicians had raised questions over whether he had been in the top job for longer than the eight-year cap.
Senior reporter for Khaosod English, Pravit Rojanaphruk, says there have been varied responses to the ruling.
