The 12-person jury weighing the fate of Kyle Rittenhouse informed the judge shortly before 6pm local time that they had wrapped up for the day, and were going home. They resume Wednesday. They had arrived at the courthouse at 9am on Tuesday, and Rittenhouse then drew slips of paper out of a raffle drum to determine the six alternates. While they were discussing, BLM protesters screamed at Second Amendment enthusiasts and Rittenhouse fans on the courthouse steps in Kenosha, Wisconsin. One an armed security guard wearing riot gear was among those outside. The guard told DailyMail.com he had been hired by a TV station to provide security for journalists who had been threatened recently. Rittenhouse faces five charges following the shooting dead of two white BLM protesters in August 2020. His lawyers insist he was acting in self-defense.
