Ten years after deciding to abandon nuclear energy, where does Germany stand?

FRANCE 24 English published this video item, entitled “Ten years after deciding to abandon nuclear energy, where does Germany stand?” – below is their description.

Ten years after voting to abandon nuclear power, #Germany is approaching the finish line. Six #nuclear power stations are still working, but three will be shut down this year and the rest the following year. Putting aside the issue of how to dismantle the plants, the big question now is the transition to #renewableEnergy – which slowed down in 2020 – and how to shut down coal-fired plants. It’s a triple challenge for Germany, especially since green policy will take centre stage in the September elections. Our correspondents report.
