The Head of MI5 has warned that the threat of right-wing terrorism is “here to stay”. He said children as young as 13 are fantasising about carrying out attacks.

Director-general Ken McCallum said young people are increasingly becoming obsessed with weapons and swapping hate messages online.

He said young people are vulnerable to being swept up in ‘cult like’ phenomenons and joining terror groups as a kind of teenage rebellion.
