It’s been more than a year since the pandemic took over the world and still, many Kiwi families remain split in different countries, different continents.
In this one-hour special we follow five families – who share the emotional struggles they faced in attempting to return home, including a Dad who left his 4-day old son thinking they’d be reunited within weeks, and a Nelson woman who hasn’t seen her husband in 14 months.
Some them are now safely back in Aotearoa, but for others, their families remain apart, their lives on hold.
