ABC News (Australia) published this video item, entitled “Tasmanian mother has a two-hour drive to see a GP amid statewide shortage | ABC News” – below is their description.
When mother of seven Polly Cousens and her family moved to Tasmania’s Derwent Valley a year ago, she tried to make an appointment with the local doctor’s surgery just minutes from their home.
She was told there’s no waitlist, the books are closed, and they would have to go somewhere else. Now they have to make a two-hour round trip south to their old clinic.
