Syria’s war: Civilian casualties mount as fighting escalates

Turkey’s cross-border military operation in Syria has produced its first civilian casualties.

Activists say Turkish air strikes have killed 35 people in two separate attacks in northern Syria.

Meanwhile in Homs, at least 15 people were killed by government air strikes. Rights groups say incendiary devices were used for the first time in the area.

Al Jazeera’s Hashem Ahelbarra reports from Gaziantep on the Turkey-Syria border.

  1. What an outrage- Erdogan and his band of Islamist targeting and slaughtering civilians. Hopefully, Israel will refuse to renew relations until Turkey makes a formal apology to the Syrian people (and Turkish Kurdish citizens) and offer compensation to the victims families
