Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and his wife have tested positive for COVID-19. According to an official statement, the couple is in stable condition and showing minor symptoms. It says they will carry on with their work in self-isolation for up to three weeks. Syria has seen a spike in coronavirus infections since mid-February. Its health minister says the country started vaccinating its frontline medical workers last week. #Syria
