7NEWS Australia published this video item, entitled “Sydney’s rail strike to go ahead, rail union leader Alex Claassens me with Damien Tudehope” – below is their description.
Next week’s industrial action on Sydney trains will go ahead as planned after a meeting tonight between the rail unions and NSW Government failed to produce a breakthrough.
Union leader Alex Claassens says the two parties are still divided over demands to modify new intercity trains the unions say are unsafe.
The rail union has previously said that next Wednesday’s planned strike will see trains stopped on the Bankstown and southern lines, including the airport rail link.
Rail unions met tonight with Employee Relations Minister Damien Tudehope – he’s the very minister that the union blamed yesterday for this dispute dragging on.
