A major extension of Sydney’s lockdown is looming. Possibly an extra 4 weeks with an announcement expected tomorrow. It follows a day of record COVID-19 cases – 172 new infections. 60 of them were in the community. And those numbers could skyrocket with fears thousands of customers may have been exposed at a busy shopping centre for 11 days straight.
