Sydney bus services cancelled by Transport for NSW, says Rail, Tram & Bus Union | 7NEWS

7NEWS Australia published this video item, entitled “Sydney bus services cancelled by Transport for NSW, says Rail, Tram & Bus Union | 7NEWS” – below is their description.

Thousands of Sydney bus services are expected to be cancelled tomorrow due to a dispute between members of the Rail, Tram & Bus Union and the NSW Government, says the union.

The union says services in the following areas will be impacted: Sydney’s inner west, CBD, Rockdale, Canterbury, Burwood, Kogarah, Sydney Airport, Campsie, Sydney’s north shore, Chatswood, Epping, Macquarie Park, Ryde, Lane Cove, Willoughby, Sydney’s northern beaches, Wakehurst, Manly, Sydney’s eastern suburbs, Bondi, Kingsford, Maroubra, Randwick and Coogee.

“Commuters should brace for chaos at our bus stops from Monday as the NSW Government axes thousands of trips in an attempt to deal with the fallout of its bus privatisation,” Tram and Bus Division president of the Rail, Tram and Bus Union NSW, Peter Grech told media today. “The NSW Government is officially axing thousands of trips from Monday because they simply cannot deliver the quality service commuters deserve.

The NSW premier has called on the union to stop ‘playing games.’

“What we need today is maturity from the union movement,” NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet.

“What I would say to the union is…’don’t play games, and inconvenience the people of NSW.”
