Sweden’s prime minister is warning the government is prepared to introduce stricter measures if a resurgence of coronavirus numbers is not halted. Sweden has never imposed a nationwide lockdown but instead asked people to keep good hygiene and reasonable physical distance. That decision led to a much higher death toll per capita than its Nordic neighbours, but it is also well below countries like Spain and Italy that opted for hard national lockdowns. Al Jazeera’s Paul Rhys has a closer look at whether Sweden’s model is sustainable. –
