South China Morning Post published this video item, entitled “‘Sweater grandma’ knits more than 500 jumpers for Chinese orphans for over 2 decades” – below is their description.
‘Sweater grandma’ Xie Zhilan has been knitting jumpers for her local orphanage in China’s western Jiangxi province after first visiting the children’s home in 1994. Since then, she has made more than 500 jumpers that she donates to the young residents. Inspired by Xie’s actions, her local district set up the “Sweater Grandma Charity Volunteer Group” to train volunteers interested in joining the effort.
