The Suvorov Attack contest at the International Army Games 2021 is being held in Korla, northwest China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. In this year’s contest, most of the teams will perform in ZBD-86A infantry fighting vehicles provided by China. The Suvorov Attack contest tests the infantry’s vehicle maneuvering skills and precision shooting abilities. The teams must negotiate different obstacles and drive through water as fast as they can. All the teams will then enter a designated area and shoot at speed, which tests their ability to destroy targets precisely. The competition is a test of the military equipment as well as the participating teams’ combat and coordination capabilities.

Xinjiang, an autonomous territory in northwest China, is a vast region of deserts and mountains. It’s home to many ethnic minority groups, including the Turkic Uyghur people. The ancient Silk Road trade route linking China and the Middle East passed through Xinjiang, a legacy that can be seen in the traditional open-air bazaars of its oasis cities, Hotan and Kashgar.
