Surgical feat: Brain tumour removed while patient plays violin

Professional musician Dagmar Turner played her violin while undergoing brain surgery at King’s College Hospital London.

The brain tumour was successfully removed becoming the first procedure of its kind in the UK.

Ms Turner was diagnosed with a brain tumour in 2013.

While under general anaesthetics , the melodies helped the surgeons avoid the areas of her brain used for playing her musical instrument.
