From this weekend, single adult households can form a “support bubble” with one other household. That means they can live as a normal household, staying in each other’s homes and not have to stay two metres apart.
But they are exclusive – no more than one bubble.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson has said this is a “targeted” approach to help those who have been most isolated by the restrictions.
But no one who is shielding can form a support bubble.
