    Sri Lanka’s being threatened by what some experts are calling “the worst environmental disaster in its lifetime”. A huge amount of plastic debris from a sinking cargo ship has already washed ashore on nearby beaches. But as Stevie Zhang reports, it’s the oil in the ship’s fuel tanks that could spill and worsen the already devastating environmental damage.
