The Telegraph published this video item, entitled “Summer holidays: Grant Shapps explains the new traffic light system from May 17” – below is their description.
Posting on his Twitter account, Transport Secretary Grant Shapps has laid out the new traffic light system for holidays abroad from May 17.
It will replace the total ban on foreign travel and assign countries into red, amber, and green.
Red will involve quarantine in a hotel, amber will involve quarantine at home, and green which won’t require any quarantine period.
Shapps did say, however, that, “public health comes first” and the government will not do “anything which puts that at risk”.
