Streaming Wars: The Duel Of Debuting Medieval Fantasies

NBC News published this video item, entitled “Streaming Wars: The Duel Of Debuting Medieval Fantasies” – below is their description.

A battle emerges across platforms as streaming services drop dueling medieval fantasies to win over viewers and record amounts of cash in the process. According to Deadline, the “Game of Thrones” prequel “House of the Dragon” has HBO’s largest marketing push ever. Some industry experts believe the series release was a race to gain attention ahead of Amazon’s “Lord of the Rings” spin-off in two weeks. For the first time, streaming has overtaken cable and broadcast viewership, according to media firm Nielsen. But even the industry’s leading platforms feel increasing competition from platforms like TikTok and YouTube.
