Storm Ciara: Shocking moment building collapses in Hawick, Scotland

Storm Ciara caused devastation to this building in Hawick, Scotland.

Onlookers took this video just before part of the exterior of the Bridge House guest house collapsed into the river.

Hawick is currently undergoing a flood protection scheme to tackle the food risk to the town.

Elsewhere in the country, Hampshire police confirmed the first fatality from Storm Ciara. A 58-year-old driver was killed by a tree falling on his car as he drove from Winchester to his home in Micheldever, Hants, on Sunday evening.
