    The Chief Secretary to the Treasury Steve Barclay has defended the measures that are being taken to save jobs and the partnerships being formed with businesses to mitigate the impact of the virus. Chancellor Rishi Sunak announced the Winter Economic Plan which will aim to help some workers retain their jobs, while replacing the furlough scheme announced earlier in the year.
