The ss Great Britain is the ship which changed sea travel. It’s been 50 years since Isambard Kingdom Brunel’s ship returned to Bristol, the city in which she was created.

To celebrate this milestone, ITV News is looking at how she changed forever how we travel the seven seas, how she was lost, forgotten, but brought back in a daring rescue – and restored to her former glory.
