  • Sky News published this video item, entitled “Special programme: Why the vaccine hesitancy among BAME Britons?” – below is their description.

The first phase of the vaccine rollout is complete, with more than 15 million people in the UK having now been vaccinated.

The government says that the jab has been offered to everyone in the first four most vulnerable groups.

But in some Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic Communities the uptake is low, and the chief executive of the NHS, Sir Simon Stevens, blamed a ‘pandemic of misinformation’.

Sky News’ Dermot Murnaghan leads a discussion to get inside the issue, and look at what needs to be done to help people feel more confident about the vaccine.
