South Sudan witnessing alarming rise in deforestation

Forests cover about 29 percent of South Sudan but the UN says they are disappearing at an alarming rate.

On average, the country is losing two percent of its forests each year.

Demand for charcoal, a source of energy for many families, is making the situation worse.
