    Deliveries, takeout, and goods purchased from malls, supermarkets and independent vendors inundate our homes in plastic bags. The problem has become a serious and frustrating one for China’s environmental protection efforts. But from Tuesday south China’s Hainan Province has banned the production, sale and use of all disposable plastic bags and tableware that are non-biodegradable.
