South Africa has eased some restrictions two months after it started one of the strictest lockdowns on the continent.
The partial lifting of measures allows more people to return to work and places of worship have reopened. But restarting schools have been postponed by a week after teachers’ unions complained that not enough has been done to keep students safe.
