Some UK NHS health-care workers protest against vaccine mandates in London

Global News published this video item, entitled “Some UK NHS health-care workers protest against vaccine mandates in London” – below is their description.

Some staff of the U.K.’s National Health Service (NHS) took to the streets of London on Saturday in protest of vaccine mandates for all health-care workers.

The U.K. government has made vaccines for health and home-care workers mandatory starting April 1, 2022. According to NHS England, all workers in the NHS and independent health-care sector must present proof of vaccination by April 2022 in order to continue working.

Those in attendance at Saturday’s march held banners and signs, including one claiming the mandate was “blackmail and coercion by the Conservative government.”

But NHS England’s medical director of primary care asked those protesting to think about the people they’ve been caring for in hospitals and health-care facilities, as well as their colleagues.
