The Prime Minister’s office has confirmed that, because of the extension of the restrictions to next Friday, a COVID-19 Disaster Payment has been triggered for workers who lose income due to the lockdown.

    If a worker loses under 20 hours of work, they’ll receive a $325 payment. If it’s over 20 hours, it’s a $500 payment.

There will be many people at least grateful for that.
