With thousands of doses set to expire in days, Ontario is resuming the use of AstraZeneca-Oxford’s COVID-19 vaccine for people who got it as their first shot.

Under the new announcement, those who received their first dose between March 10 and 19 will shortly be able to book their second shot, but not everyone who did is rushing to get their jab.

Mike Le Couteur explains the province’s decision and the latest data on the risks of rare blood clots linked to the shot.
