ABC News (Australia) published this video item, entitled “Some locals in Dandenong Ranges expected to be without electricity for weeks to come | 7.30” – below is their description.
Residents in the Dandenong Ranges east of Melbourne have now gone two weeks without power – in the middle of a cold wet winter. A fortnight ago a powerful storm tore through parts of Victoria, knocking down trees and powerlines, and cutting off some mountain communities.
The roads are now clear, but as Marty McCarthy reports, some locals in the Dandenong Ranges will still be without electricity for weeks to come.
