Sierra Leone: 709-carat diamond to be auctioned off
A 709-carat diamond is being auctioned in Sierra Leone’s capital Freetown.
It is the largest uncut diamond to be found in four decades and was discovered in the Kono district, in eastern Sierra Leone, where many depend on mining for their livelihood.
