Jim McMahon, the shadow transport secretary, said the government “hasn’t got a plan” and risks massive job losses in the travel sector without more financial support.
Speaking about the 14-day quarantine period for travellers entering the UK, he said “22 million people have already come into the country” because the UK “was the outlier” in terms of having “absolutely no restrictions” on travel in the last few months.
