For more:
Who powers #China? The answer, quite literally, is of course the world’s largest public utility company, the State Grid Corporation of China (#SGCC). It’s a state-owned mega Chinese enterprise that ranks second on the Fortune Global 500 list. SGCC ensures that more than a billion Chinese can have their lights on and computers charged. As China pledges to transition to green power, how State Grid generates its electricity plays a key role in that process. In March this year, SGCC released its action plan for carbon neutrality, in which the company plans to transmit more clean energy between regions, install more clean power-generating capacity, and focus on using innovative and cutting-edge technologies to step up power grids. On these, CGTN anchor Tian Wei talked to the executive chairman of SGCC, Xin Baoan.
