Sex workers in Germany have told the BBC that a countrywide ban on the industry has forced many into poverty and danger.

Sex work is usually legal – and regulated – in the country, but the government has closed brothels and banned the sale of sex as part of Covid-19 restrictions.

Many workers told BBC correspondent Jenny Hill they’ve no choice but to flout the ban.
